Safe, effective and affordable health care in Taupo and online

Kate O’Connor

NZ Dip Acup, Dip Clin Hyp
ACC Treatment Provider

A life crisis in my late 20’s led to me discovering self-hypnosis and falling in love with it. Through the knowledge gained from this technique I was able to influence a large part of my recovery from a broken neck and quadriplegia. Because of this learning it is particularly important to me that I can be effective in working with people to help them appreciate the ways that thoughts, emotions and behaviours influence health and well-being and so together we can work with this knowledge to create change on the path to wellness.

Prior to indulging my passions for Hypnotherapy and Acupuncture in a working environment I had gained a wealth of experience from my time as a nurse in General Medicine, Mental Health, and many years as a Midwife. The accumulated knowledge from all of these fields allows me to work happily with many health and well-being concerns. I especially enjoy the privilege of working with women to help them empower themselves to positively influence their fertility and have a happy, healthy pregnancy and post-natal time. Of special interest to me is helping people to dispel the effects of anxiety and fear around birthing, as well as traumatic memories following a past traumatic birth. Overcoming many other situations that may cause anxiety, unhelpful beliefs and habits can also be achieved in a safe, effective way enabling profound life-long changes through Hypnotherapy, NLP, Life-coaching and Acupuncture. I am an ACC treatment provider for the treatment of physical injuries.
