Pregnancy, Labour & Birthing

Pregnancy and birthing are two of the greatest journeys a woman can travel. Hypnobirthing, hypnosis for birthing, hypnotherapy for birthing, it’s all the same process. It’s all about an intention of achieving a gentle, calm, natural approach to birthing.

Hypnobirthing, hypnosis for birthing, hypnotherapy for birthing, it’s all the same process. It’s all about an intention of achieving a gentle, calm, natural approach to birthing. It is claimed by many to reduce the fear and pain of labour. By creating a sense of empowerment anxiety can be lessened while increasing an expectation of safety and hopefully a natural birth.

Pregnancy and birthing are two of the greatest journeys a woman can travel, the memories of which become as vivid as only moments ago. So many people become locked into other people’s fearful birthing stories which serve to dis-empower and terrify them, this then can impede progress and lead to complications. It is my aim to help a woman achieve a birthing experience that she remembers well into old age as being one of empowerment, achievement and joy. Hypnotherapy is a very powerful tool to achieve that.

Throughout pregnancy acupuncture can be used to treat most ailments of pregnancy. and increase the possibility of a healthy birth by aiding in preparation of the cervix and the best possible positioning of baby. It is my anecdotal observation, following years of working with pregnant women, that women who have regular acupuncture in pregnancy approach their birthing with a boost to their emotional and physical stamina. Acupuncture is completely safe for both mother and baby both before, during and after birth. It is frequently used after birth to enhance lactation, healing and well-being.
